Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens (Taman Tasik Perdana) Built around an artificial lake, the 91.6-hectare (229-acre) park has plenty of space for jogging and rowing, and has a playground for the kids. It's the most popular park in Kuala Lumpur. Inside the Lake Gardens find the Kuala Lumpur Orchid Garden (Jalan Perdana; weekend and public holiday admission adults RM1/US25¢> children RM.50/US 15(t; weekdays free; daily 9am-6pm) with a collection of over 800 orchid species from Malaysia, and it also contains thousands of international varieties. The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park (Jalan Perdana; 03/22735423; adults RM1/US$3.15, children RM6/US$1.60; daily 9am-6:30pm) is nestled in beautifully landscaped gardens, and has over 2,000 birds within its 3.2 hectares (8 acres). The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park (Jalan Cenderasari; 03/2G93-4799; adults RM5/US$1.30, children RMl/US25Q; daily 9am-6pm) has over 6,000 butterflies belonging to 120 species make their home in this park, which has been landscaped with more than 15,000 plants to simulate the butterflies' natural rainforest environment. MATIC (Malaysia Tourist information Complex) At MATIC vou'll find vhibit hall, tourist information services for Kuala Lumpur and Malavsia, and r travel-planning services.
