 The Malaysia Tourism Board office in Johor Bahru is at the Johor Tourist Information Centre (JOTIC), centrally located on Jalan Ayer Molek, on the second floor (007/222-4935). Information is available not only for ]ohor Bah ru, but for the state of Johor as well.
BY CAR If you arrive by car via the causeway you will clear the immigration checkpoint upon entering the Malaysia side.
BY BUS Buses to and from other parts of Malaysia are based at the Larkin Bus Terminal off Jalan Garuda in the northern part of the city. Taxis are available at the terminal to take you to the city. The easiest way to catch a bus from KL is at the old Kh Railway Station. Plusliner (03/2274-9601) runs service 12 times daily for RM20 (US$5.30). The trip takes just under G hours. Most all other cities in Malaysia have service to Johor Bahru. Consult each city section for bus terminal information. From Singapore, the Singapore-Johor Express ( 65/6292-8149) operates every 10 minutes between G:30am and midnight from the Ban Seri Terminal at Queen Street near Arab Street, Singapore. The cost for the half-hour trip is S$2.10 (US$1.20).
