FACTS KUALA LUMPUR 3

JW Marriot hotel Kuala Lumpur Opened in July 1997, the Marriott is one of the newer holds in town. The smallish lobby area still allows for a very dramatic entrance, complete with wrought-iron filigree and marble. The mod11 ern rooms have a European flavor, decorated in deep greens and reds with plush carpeting, large desks, and a leather executive chair that are all beginning ,how some wear. If you’ve stayed at Marriot in other locations, this one 1;;ht disappoint you. It's not their hottest property, however, the staff is very ,motivated and enthusiastic. Another great plus: The hotel is next door to some of the most upmarket and trendy shopping complexes in the city.

The Pan Pasific Hotel Kuala Lumpur One thing you'll love about stay at the Pan Pacific is the view from the glass elevator as you drift up to your la-u. The atrium lobby inside the main entrance is bright and airy and filled with the scent of jasmine. The hotel staff handles the demands of its interna,,1aal clientele with courtesy and professionalism, but when Pan Pac's running a full house, help can be a little weary and hard to find. The rooms are spacious I id statelv, in pale pastels. Sunken windows with lattice work frame each view. Im large shopping mall across the street makes this hotel more convenient, otherwise it's a bit out of the city center-the inconvenience is felt during rush hour when it can take 30 minutes to make an otherwise 10-minute taxi hop. A recent dramatic drop in rates makes this an especially good choice for value.
