LITTLE FARTHER 3

Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant CHINESE BEIJING One of the main attractions here is the fact that the restaurant revolves, giving you an everchanging view of the citv from your table. The other main attraction is the food, which i, Beijing-style Chinese. Naturally, the best dish is the Beijing duck, which has been a house spccialry since this restaurant opened 20 years ago. All of the noodles for the noodle dishes are prepared in-house using traditional recipes and techniques, so the word of the day is fresh. Try them with minced pork and chopped cucumber in a sweet sauce. The restaurant manager comes to each table to present the daily specials. It's a good time to chat him up for the best dishes and ask questions about the menu.

UDMC Seafood Centre ** SEAFOOD Eight seafood restaurants are lined side by side in 2 blocks, their fronts open to the view of the sea outside. UDMC is a fantastic way to eat seafood Singapore style, in the open air, in restaurants that are more like grand stalls than anything else. Eat the famous local chile crab and pepper crab here, along with all sorts of squid, fish, and scallop dishes. Noodle dishes are also available, as are vegetable dishes and other meats. But the seafood is the thing to come for. Of the eight restaurants, there's no saying which is the best, as everyone seems to have his own opinions about this one or that one (I like Jumbo at the far eastern end of the row; call CC 65/6442-3435 for reservations, which are recommended for weekends). Have a nice stroll along the walkway and gaze out to the water while you decide which one to go for.
