The Cultural Museum (Muzium Budaya) * A replica of the former palace o f Sultan 1Vlansur Syah (1456-77) this museum was rebuilt according to historical descriptions to house a fine collection of cultural artifacts such as clothing, weaponry, and royal items.

The Maritime Museum and the Royal Mafayaian Navy Museum These two museums are located across the street from one another but share admission tees. The Maritime Museum is in a restored 16 th -century Portuguese ship, with exhibits dedicated to Malacca's history with the sea. The Navy Museum is a modern display of Malaysia's less-pleasant relationship with the sea.

The People's Museum, the Museum of Beauty, the Kite Museum and the Governor of Melaka’s Gallery This strange collection of displays is housed under one roof. The People's Museum is the story of development in `1alacca. The Museum of Beauty is a look at cultural differences of beauty throughout time and around the world. The Kite Museum features the traditions of making and fl ying wau (kites) in Malaysia, and the governor's personal collection is on exhibit at the Governor's Gallery.
