About Singapore Malaysia

SENTOSA ISLAND

Take 3 million people, put 'em on a tiny island for their whole lives, and what have you got? Three million people looking for new things to entertain them. Sure, the sights and attractions can keep visitors occupied for weeks, but how many times can you go to Sentosa before it becomes the same old same old? The locals have seen and done it all.

So what do Singaporeans do for boredom relief? They eat. Dining out in Singapore is the central focus of family quality time, the best excuse for getting together with friends, and the proper way to dose that business deal. That's why you find such a huge selection of local, regional, and international cuisine here, served in settings that range from bustling hawker centers to grand and glamorous palaces of gastronomy. But to simply say, "If you like food you'll love Singapore!" doesn't do justice to the modern concept of eating in this place. The various ethnic restaurants, with their traditional decor and serving styles, hold their own special sense of theater for foreigners; but Singaporeans don't stop there, dreaming up new concepts in cuisine and ambience to add fresh dimensions to the fine art of dining. For a twist, new variations on traditions pop up, like the French-scrvice Chinese cuisine at Chang Jiang or the East-meets-West New Asia cuisine dished up at Doc Cheng's. Theme restaurants turn regular meals into attractions. Take, for example, imperial Herbal's intriguing predinner medical examination or House of Mao's Cultural Revolution menu.
