Genki Sushi value JAPANESE 1 ducked into Genki Sushi for lunch. I sat at v he counter, where a tiny conveyor belt snaked along in front of me carrying colored plates full of glistening sushi, rolls, sashimi, and other treats. Just pick md eat-and pay per plate. So the goofy Japanese guy next to me got chatty. We discussed the conveyor-belt sushi bar concept and how much we both loved it, ihen he poked some buttons on his electronic translator and showed me the ,treen. "This name in Japan." The translator spelled revolution. Makes sense, revolving" sushi bar, but now I'll never shake the image of Che Guevara sitting there plucking sushi off the belt.

The Rice Table MALAY/INDONESIAN Indonesian Dutch rijsttafel, meaning "rice table," is a service of many small dishes (up to almost 20) with rice. Traditionally, each dish would be brought to diners by beautiful ladies in pompous 'rvle. Here, busy waitstaff brings all the dishes out and places them in front of vou-feast on favorite Indo-Malay wonders like beef rendang, chicken satay, urtk otak, and sotong assam (squid) for a very reasonable price.
